Bangkok Airways Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Bangkok Airways from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger travelling on Bangkok Airways may bring one piece of cabin
baggage onboard, subject to the aircraft type and cabin baggage restrictions.
The permitted cabin baggage allowance is:
• ATR72 aircraft: 1 cabin bag
up to 7 kg, with maximum dimensions of 50 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm.
• Airbus A319
and A320 aircraft: 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg, with maximum dimensions of 56 cm × 36
cm × 23 cm.
Cabin baggage must fit securely in the overhead compartment
or under the seat in front of the passenger. All carry-on baggage is subject to
security screening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Baggage
exceeding the permitted weight or size limits must be checked into the aircraft
hold.
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage
allowance for Bangkok Airways flights departing from Kuala Lumpur International
Airport (KLIA) is based on the passenger’s travel class and ticket conditions:
• Economy Class: Checked baggage allowance up to 20 kg.
• Blue Ribbon
Class (Business Class): Checked baggage allowance up to 40 kg.
• Infant
passengers: 10 kg checked baggage allowance.
Each individual checked
baggage piece must not exceed 32 kg in weight. Baggage exceeding this limit must
be repacked before acceptance. Passengers are advised to check the baggage
allowance stated on their booking confirmation or ticket before travelling to
KLIA.
Extra Baggage
Passengers may purchase
additional baggage allowance through Bangkok Airways before departure via the
airline's website,
Manage My Booking, ticketing offices or authorised agents.
Excess
baggage charges apply when the free baggage allowance is exceeded. Sports
equipment may be accepted as checked baggage, and additional charges apply if it
exceeds the permitted allowance. For codeshare or flights operated by another
airline, the operating carrier's baggage policy applies.
