Biman Bangladesh Airlines Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Biman
Bangladesh Airlines may bring cabin baggage as follows:
• Economy Class:
1 piece up to 7 kg.
• Business Class: up to 2 pieces with a combined weight
not exceeding 10 kg.
Cabin baggage must not exceed 56 × 36 × 23 cm and
must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat. Personal items are
permitted in addition to the cabin allowance, subject to security regulations at
KLIA.
All cabin baggage is subject to security screening at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA).
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage allowance on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flights departing
from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is based on the weight concept
and the booked cabin class.
For flights between Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA) and Dhaka, the standard free checked baggage
allowance is:
• Economy Class: up to 20 kg (44 lbs).
• Business Class:
up to 30 kg (66 lbs).
Each checked bag must not exceed 32 kg. Items above
this limit must be re-packed or sent as cargo.
Passengers should verify
the baggage allowance shown on their ticket before travelling, as promotional
fares or connecting itineraries may carry different baggage entitlements.
Extra Baggage
Additional checked baggage may be
purchased before departure or at the airport, subject to Biman Bangladesh
Airlines’ excess baggage charges.
Excess baggage charges apply when the
total weight exceeds the permitted free baggage allowance.
Sports
equipment, musical instruments and other special baggage are accepted in
accordance with Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ baggage regulations. Additional
charges or prior arrangements may apply depending on the item type, size and
weight.
