China Southern Airlines Baggage Policy

Passengers travelling with China Southern Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may bring the following cabin baggage:

• Economy / Premium Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs).
• Business / First Class: 2 cabin bags, each up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs).

Each cabin bag must not exceed 55 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm and must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.

Carry-on baggage is subject to security screening at KLIA. Cabin baggage exceeding the permitted size, weight or quantity limits must be checked before boarding.

Checked Baggage Policy

Checked baggage allowance for China Southern Airlines flights departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is determined by the purchased fare.

• Economy Class (South Asia routes): 1 checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Premium Economy Class: 1 checked bag up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
• Business Class: 2 checked bags, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
• First Class: 3 checked bags, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs).

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions (length + width + height).

The maximum accepted weight for any individual checked bag is 32 kg (70 lbs). Baggage exceeding the permitted size or weight limits is subject to excess baggage charges or must be transported as special baggage or cargo.

Passengers should verify the baggage allowance shown on their ticket before arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Extra Baggage

Additional checked baggage may be purchased before departure or at the airport, subject to China Southern Airlines' excess baggage charges.

Excess baggage fees apply when the number of pieces, weight or dimensions exceed the free baggage allowance stated on the passenger's ticket.

Sports equipment, musical instruments and other special baggage are accepted in accordance with China Southern Airlines' special baggage regulations and may be subject to additional handling charges or advance approval.
