EgyptAir Lost and Found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

If you have misplaced an item during your EgyptAir flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Items left onboard an EgyptAir aircraft should be reported to the EgyptAir ground handling representative at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Passengers should provide their flight number, travel date, seat number, boarding pass details and a clear description of the missing item to assist with identification and recovery.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items misplaced within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), including check-in counters, security screening areas, immigration zones, boarding areas and arrival halls, are handled by the airport’s Lost & Found service. Passengers should contact the KLIA Lost & Found office for items lost within airport facilities.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers who do not receive their checked baggage upon arrival must report the issue immediately at the EgyptAir baggage service counter located in the arrivals area before leaving KLIA. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be created to initiate baggage tracing through the airline’s baggage tracking system.

Reporting a Lost Item

For items left onboard an EgyptAir flight, passengers should provide their flight number, travel date, seat number and detailed information about the missing item. For delayed or missing checked baggage, passengers must provide their baggage tag number, passport or travel document details, and flight information when filing a baggage report.

Recovery and Collection

Recovered items are returned through the designated EgyptAir handling office or KLIA Lost & Found service, depending on where the item was located. Passengers collecting recovered items must present valid identification and may be required to provide supporting travel documents. Collection by an authorised representative may be accepted with written authorisation and valid identification documents.

Passenger Advice

Passengers should report missing checked baggage immediately after arrival and before leaving the baggage reclaim area at KLIA. A baggage tracing process can only begin after the report has been registered and a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) has been issued.
