Ethiopian Airlines Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Ethiopian Airlines from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may
bring the following cabin baggage:
• Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7
kg (15 lbs).
• Cloud Nine (Business Class): 2 cabin bags with a combined
maximum weight of 14 kg (30 lbs).
Each cabin bag must comply with
Ethiopian Airlines' size requirements and fit in the overhead compartment or
under the seat in front. Cabin baggage is subject to security screening at KLIA.
Items exceeding the permitted size or weight limits must be checked before
boarding.
Checked Baggage Policy
Ethiopian Airlines applies
the Piece Concept for flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
and Addis Ababa. The free checked baggage allowance is determined by the
passenger’s travel class and fare conditions.
• Economy Class: 2 pieces,
each up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Cloud Nine (Business Class): 2 pieces, each up
to 32 kg (70 lbs).
Each checked baggage piece must not exceed 158 cm (62
inches) in total linear dimensions (length + width + height). The maximum
permitted weight for any single checked bag is 32 kg (70 lbs). Bags exceeding
this limit must be transported as cargo.

travelling to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Extra Baggage
Additional checked baggage may be purchased before departure through
Ethiopian Airlines. Excess baggage charges apply when the permitted weight,
number of pieces or dimensions are exceeded.
Sports equipment, musical
instruments and other special baggage are accepted in accordance with Ethiopian
Airlines' baggage regulations and may be subject to additional charges or
handling requirements.
