Pulai Hill Recreational Forest (Malay: Hutan Lipur Gunung Pulai) possesses a waterfall that is capable in taking your breath away. Pulai Hill Recreational Forest possesses a waterfall that is capable in taking your breath away. Its tranquility and serenity leave you mesmerized once you stepped into the forest. Reaching the top of the hill is a straightforward climb up the tarred road, which takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Most hikers only climb part of the way.

There are 3 telecommunications towers at the top, two on the summit, and one a little lower down. A couple of viewpoints provide breathtaking views of the rainforest that clothes the hill.

Getting There

Pulai Hill Recreational Forest is easily reached by the North South Highway. After exiting the North South Expressway at Exit 252, clear the Kulaijaya toll and look out for this signboard. Turn right (heading West) towards Gunung Pulai.

You will be driving on slightly winding Jalan Sawah and seeing mostly palm plantations on both sides. After about 10 km, you will see this welcome arch at the entrance to Kampung Sri Pulai where the foothill of Gunung Pulai is located.
