Islamic Civilization Park

Islamic Civilization Park (Malay: Taman Tamadun Islam) is located in a small island, off of east coast of Terengganu. The prime attraction of Wan Man Island is this theme park and it attracts millions of visitors to this unique interactive theme park featuring the Islamic teaching since it was opened in February 2008.

With the lush tropical surrounding of a quaint village on one side, as well as the gentle sea breeze caressing you on the other, the park is a joy for a leisurely stroll.

Taking up a land area of 22 hectares in total, the park is divided into two zones. Zone A is the gated area which houses the Monument Park and takes up 10 hectares of the said total while Zone B covers another 12 hectares.

This unique theme park is a way to demonstrate the achievement of Islamic architecture. Besides, it provides an interactive journey of many famous Islamic monuments, including Taj Mahal of India, Al-Hambra Citadel of Spain and 3 others interactive monument.

These 5 interactive monuments are among the other 21 mini replica monuments found in the Islamic Civilization Complex, separated from the Public Zone. Public zone houses the most impressive icon of the theme park, which is the Crystal Mosque.

Getting There

The Heritage City buses ply its daily route around Kuala Terengganu City including Taman Tamadun Islam as its last stop. The C-02 route departs from Dataran Shahbandar through Jalan Hiliran, Mydin Mall, Chabang Tiga, Kampung Losong, State Museum and Taman Tamadun Islam.

Visitors could take a trip on Bas Bandar from Taman Shahbandar to get to Taman Tamadun Islam at the Wan Man Island. The bus also will be stopping by other interesting spots in Kuala Terengganu.
