Malaysian citizens need a visa to visit Australia. The
Australian government is making the Australia visa process one
of the easiest and most flexible for travelers. Authorization to
enter Australia is normally valid for one year, thus making trip
planning easier for travelers who wish to visit Australia.
The authorization to enter Australia is issued under two
categories, either Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or
eVisitor. Both types of visas are effectively the same, although
selection to apply for the appropriate category depends on the
nationality of the applicant.
Visa applications can be done completely online. Travelers are
not required to visit the Australian embassy nor send in their
passports. Once online visa applications are approved,
applicants will receive their visa by email, which is recognized
by all airlines traveling inbound to Australia and provided that
all your travel documents are in order, you should have no
trouble boarding your flight to Australia.
