Batik Air Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Batik Air from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may
bring cabin baggage according to the following allowance:
• Economy
Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 cabin bags with a
combined total up to 10 kg (22 lbs)
Each cabin bag must not exceed 56 cm
× 36 cm × 23 cm, including handles and wheels, and must be able to fit in the
overhead compartment or under the seat in front.
All carry-on baggage is
subject to security screening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Items exceeding the permitted weight or size limits are required to be checked
into the aircraft hold.
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage allowance for Batik Air flights departing from Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA) is based on fare type:
• Super Saver: 0 kg
(no free checked baggage)
• Economy Value: 15 ~ 20 kg
• Economy Flexi: 25
kg
• Business Promo: 30 kg
• Business Flexi: 40 kg
Each checked bag
must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs) per piece. The maximum linear dimension (length +
width + height) must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches).
Baggage exceeding 32
kg per piece will not be accepted as checked baggage and must be re-packed or
sent as cargo.
Extra Baggage
Additional baggage
can be purchased before departure or at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA), subject to availability.
Pre-purchased excess baggage is
calculated per kilogram, with lower rates available when purchased in advance
compared to airport rates.
Excess charges apply when total weight, piece
count, or size exceeds the allowance included in the fare.
Sports
equipment, musical instruments, and special items are accepted in accordance
with Batik Air’s special baggage handling rules and may require prior
arrangement.
