Citilink Lost and Found at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

If you have misplaced an item during your Citilink flight or within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the appropriate reporting procedure depends on where the item was lost. Follow the sections below to report and recover your belongings.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Items left onboard Citilink aircraft arriving at or departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) should be reported to Citilink or the airline’s appointed ground handling team at KLIA.

Passengers should provide their flight number, travel date, seat number, and a detailed description of the missing item to support identification and recovery.

Items Lost at the Airport

Items lost within Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), including check-in areas, security screening areas, immigration areas, boarding lounges, and arrival halls, are handled by the KLIA Lost & Found service.

Passengers should report lost items to the airport’s Lost & Found office with details of the item, location, and time of loss.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers who do not receive their checked baggage upon arrival must report the missing baggage at the Baggage Services counter before leaving the arrival area.

A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be completed to begin the baggage tracing process. Passengers must provide their baggage tag receipt, flight details, and personal identification for verification.

Reporting a Lost Item

When reporting an item lost onboard a Citilink flight, passengers should provide:

• Flight number and travel date
• Seat number (if applicable)
• Detailed description of the missing item
• Contact details for follow-up communication

For delayed or missing checked baggage, passengers must provide the baggage tag number issued during check-in when submitting the report.

Recovery and Collection

If a lost item is found, collection arrangements will be provided by Citilink, its appointed ground handling team, or KLIA Lost & Found, depending on where the item was located.

Passengers collecting recovered items may be required to present identification. Collection by another person may require written authorization from the passenger.

Passenger Advice

Passengers should report missing checked baggage immediately after arrival and before leaving the baggage claim area. A baggage tracing case can only be initiated after the required report has been submitted.
