Etihad Airways Baggage Policy
Passengers travelling with Etihad Airways from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Each passenger departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may
bring the following cabin baggage:
• Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7
kg (15.4 lbs).
• Business Class and First Class: 2 cabin bags with a combined
weight of up to 12 kg (26.5 lbs).
Each cabin bag must not exceed 56 cm ×
36 cm × 23 cm, including handles and wheels. Cabin baggage must fit in the
overhead compartment or under the seat in front.
Carry-on baggage is
subject to security screening procedures at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA). Cabin baggage exceeding the permitted size or weight limits must be
checked into the aircraft hold.
Checked Baggage Policy
Checked baggage allowance for Etihad Airways flights departing from Kuala
Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Abu Dhabi is based on the purchased fare
type.
The checked baggage allowance for the Kuala Lumpur-Abu Dhabi route
is:
• Economy Basic: No free checked baggage allowance (additional fees
apply).
• Economy Value: 1 piece up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
• Economy Comfort:
1 piece up to 30 kg (66 lbs).
• Economy Deluxe: 1 piece up to 40 kg (88 lbs).
• Business Class and First Class: Baggage allowance is determined by the fare
conditions shown on the ticket confirmation.
Each checked bag must not
exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions (length + width + height).
The maximum weight permitted for any individual checked bag is 32 kg (70
lbs). Bags exceeding this limit must be transported as cargo in accordance with
applicable regulations.
Passengers should confirm the baggage allowance
displayed on their ticket before arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA).
Extra Baggage
Additional baggage for
Etihad Airways flights departing from KLIA can be purchased before departure
through Etihad Airways' official booking channels.
Extra baggage fees are
calculated according to the route, fare type and additional baggage weight
required. Charges apply when baggage exceeds the permitted allowance in terms of
weight or quantity.
Sports equipment, musical instruments and other
special baggage items are accepted according to Etihad Airways’ special baggage
regulations and may require advance arrangements or additional fees.
